"Life, Liberty, PROPERTY, and the Pursuit of Happiness?"

Would it be better or worse for society if the Declaration of Independence was changed to read the following...

"We hold these truths to be logically-sound, that for a society to create the most happiness for its people, all men and women should be treated as though they were created equal, and that they must be recognized to have certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness."

The key differences between this and the original Declaration are that it doesn't mention any form of religion or faith, and that it adds a right to property alongside life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Meaning that neither citizens NOR the government can take away your belongings or your money without your consent. Which also means that other citizens can't vote to have the government forcefully tax or take away your money or property for their own benefit.

Do you think this would solve some of our economic or societal problems?
